Paid opportunity! The Approach Year 2 attraction team is still looking for one more fellow/ambassador to be part of an online panel presented to Approach Year 2 NQSWs on ethnic diversity and lived experience in social work. Date: 3rd September 6pm-7:30pm. Fee: £35 per fellow/ambassador Where: Online. The Attraction team will share a zoom link with the panellists closer to time. Please reach out to the team at fellowship@thefrontline.org.uk to express your interest. The benefits for taking part are that you would be: - Working closely with the attraction team - Enhancing your public speaking skills - Sharing your experiences to support NQSWs Aim of the panel: We’re working to encourage more ethnically diverse people to pursue careers in social work to ensure better representation for the vulnerable children we support. Hearing personal stories about the importance of representation and the journey into social work can play a powerful role in inspiring others from diverse backgrounds to join the profession. Who is this for: Ideally, we’d like to have four panellists: two fellows (either current social workers or former ASW participants) who consider themselves from racialised minority group. Audience: 200 Approach Year 2 NQSW from diverse backgrounds. There will be one or two members from the Attraction team joining the fellows and Frontline Youth Advisory Board. More details: A member (s) from the attraction team will give a brief presentation about Approach Social Work then we'll ask the panellists some questions, which will be sent to them in advance.
