Opportunity: stakeholder focus groups - supporting access to higher education for young people on child protection plans As part of a current project we are undertaking with The Brilliant Club to widen education for young people on Child Protection Plans, we are looking to hear from as many people as possible who work or have worked in the London and Yorkshire areas. Do you experience of working with young people who have a Child Protection Plan in place? Our focus groups will support an upcoming project to provide an intervention which hopes to widen HE education at the recipient schools. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring that the expertise of social workers with direct experience of supporting young people in these areas feed into the planning and delivery of this project. We will be hosting focus groups and want to hear your thoughts on: • How best to identify and engage with this group of young people? • What systems and support structures have been useful in working with this group? • What factors need to be considered/prioritised when delivering a Higher Education Widening Participation initiative? We would like to hear from a diverse range of professionals at varying stages of their career who are passionate about improving education outcomes for the children and young people they work with.
