Last week saw the start of the Step Forward programme for our third cohort 🎉 🎉🎉 Step Forward is our leadership development programme for fellows in the early stages of their social work careers, generously funded by the Garfield Weston Foundation. Over two days, fellows participated in various sessions including, values and leadership, intersectionality and building networks to drive change. We were also joined by three of our fellows Delin Dixon, Oyeyinka Olaniran and Dean Stamp who shared valuable insights and practical tips on overcoming barriers in their leadership journeys. Every time we are able to bring fellows together provides a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections and this was no exception. One key takeaway was the importance of ‘finding your tribe’. It was incredible to see so many fellows in the room forming genuine connections, building relationships and supporting each other right from the start. A huge shoutout to all the facilitators who led sessions and to the fellows on the programme for their engagement over the two days. We are so excited for the journey ahead over the next 12 months.
