Practice Tutor (London & South East) - short term role An opportunity has arisen in Approach Social work programme for a short-term Practice Tutor role. The successful candidate will support us with managing hubs in south-east London and/or Hertfordshire. Practice Tutors (PTs) play a key role within the development and delivery of our social work curriculum, contributing knowledge and expertise to create a culture that promotes outstanding social work education. PTs are responsible for teaching and developing participants at the Readiness to Practice stage, regional teaching days and, in participant hubs within local authorities. PTs support four practice hubs, based within statutory children’s social care services. Each practice hub is led by a Consultant Social Worker (CSW). Core to the Practice Tutor role is the ability to provide support, challenge and guidance to participants and CSWs to ensure a high-quality practice learning experience. We are looking for someone to start immediately and would be open to part-time or full-time working hours. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop social work education skills and showcase your children’s social work expertise. We would welcome applicants from former participants and consultant social workers. A PgCert in Higher Education, Practice Education or systemic training is highly desirable.
