We have an opportunity for a couple of fellows to run a virtual session for Coram International with a delegation from UNICEF and the Ministry of Interior in Libya looking at alternatives to detention and focusing on migrant children. The session (45 mins to an hour including Q&A) would focus on best practices in working with migrant children, looking at the role of social workers, including unaccompanied and separated children, looking at their role in BIA/BIDs and ensuring child-friendly processes, including for placement in appropriate family or community-based care settings. It’s very short notice – morning of Wed 27 February – but if you’re interested please get in touch with Jackie Sanders at jackie.sanders@thefrontline.org.uk and we will introduce you to our contact at Coram for more details.
