Panelist opportunity: Do you want to help us attract the next diverse generation of children’s social workers? We have an exciting panelist opportunity for four impactful fellows to share their experience of being children’s social workers trained through Approach Social Work. We are looking for fellows from underrepresented backgrounds (racialised minority groups, lower socio-economic backgrounds and/or men) to share their insights with our prospective applicants. An interest in or experience with diversity and inclusion in social work is preferable but not necessary. Impact: The panel will be consist of 1-2 fellows and 1-2 care experienced young people, who are part of our Young People’s Advisory Board. The discussion will focus on the role of a social worker, the impact social workers can have, and how Approach Social Work can help attendees start their journey towards a life-changing career. A strong focus of the panel discussion will also be the importance of diversity and inclusion in social work.
