Pride month is fast approaching! A month that is dedicated to celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities all around the world. It’s also an important reminder of the need to stand in solidarity with colleagues, friends and family from the LGBTQIA+ community. Not just during Pride, but every day. We often speak about intersectionality in social work practice and how it’s important to look at all aspects of a child or young person’s identity when supporting them. Taking an intersectional approach, we wanted to put together a written piece ‘Proud and ….’ that shares reflections from LGBTQIA+ individuals and their intersecting identities, for example, faith, gender, disability, care experience, race or neurodiversity. This could be yourself or a young person you have supported. We have one short question that we would like you to answer by email, if this sound of interest to you. If you are interested, please send a message to our communications officer, Samantha, samantha.jac-during@thefrontline.org.uk and she’ll share the question with you.
