Thank you to everyone who attended the LGBTQIA+ in social work event, and a massive shout out to our panellists who discussed their identity and how this has shaped their social work practice. Here are a few quotes from yesterday’s session: "Frontline encourages us to be aware of our own identity and consider what parts of ourselves we are bringing into the role. We all have different identities and experiences and this will impact us differently. These parts of our identity can also help in our work with children and families" "We have power as social workers to challenge and create change in systems that are homophobic and transphobic” Let’s continue to be allies to children and young people, from the LGBTQIA+ community, by creating a space to have these important conversations.
