Tomorrow marks Holocaust Memorial Day a time to remember the millions of people murdered during the Holocaust. This years theme is Fragility of Freedom which draws attention to the fact that genocides do not ‘just happen’, but rather this is a slow process which can begin if discrimination, racism, and hatred are not prevented. Around the world today many people still face restrictions to their freedom. We join the nation by lighting candles to symbolise our solidarity and to honour the lives of loved ones, family members and survivors. It’s so important that we continue to uphold the values of freedom by challenging discrimination and prejudice for the children and families we support.
