As we continue to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, we reflect on the importance of diversity in working to ensure that children from all backgrounds get to achieve their full potential. Inspired by this year’s theme of ‘stories to tell’, we caught up with Sanjeev who shared his story of recognising how his role in working to make social work better for children aligns with his personal values and what makes him proud to be South Asian. “[South Asian] values and our culture are really centred around relationships.” Thank you Sanjeev, and thank you to the countless social workers who work to help children and families thrive.
