As we embrace and honour diversity, it is with great joy and pride that we acknowledge South Asian Heritage Month (18 July - 17 August 2023). Throughout this special month, we pay tribute to the rich tapestry of cultures, traditions and histories that emanate from the beautiful South Asian region. Let us take this moment to appreciate the unparalleled impact that South Asian individuals have had on shaping our global society. From Mother Teresa's philanthropy to the scientific brilliance of Abdus Salm and the artist genius of Rabindranath Tagore, their legacies continue to inspire and resonate with us all. South Asian Heritage Month is a time for all of us to learn, share and celebrate together. It is an opportunity to embrace the beautiful complexity of the region and its people, fostering a sense of unity and understanding that transcend borders. Under this year's theme "Stories to tell", let us engage in conversations, events and activities that promote cross-cultural exchanges and foster mutual respect. By doing so, we can build bridges, break down barriers and create a more inclusive world for everyone. Happy South Asian Heritage Month!
